I finally...after viewing 50 pages and wishing i could post a picture/comment on a landy which i owned...I finally can!!

I purchased a Land Rover Defender 200 TDi on Ebay on Friday and have to say its a beauty! What was even better was the fact that this Landy is being sold around 5 miles away from me, result!!I am reluctant to post pics until tomorrow though when i actually have all the keys and can drive away in it!!

same abomination chris. iveco took over santana a few years back.

Hadn't realised that :blushing:

I think the Massif is actually not bad - it has the smae engine as the turbo daily I used to use at Riko and that was awesome. Also, for carrying loads I still think leaf springs take some beating (I realise the coils on a LR are for articulation androad manners so don't all start :001_tt2: )

Still think Land rover need to get there head out their arse and start putting a proper 6 cylinder diesel (with no electrics and a mechanical injector pump and everything) in the defenders

I am toying with a new chassis for my 110. Its starting to show its age in places, and im not interested in a patchwork quilt. I will be turning it into a 130, and will put a storage locker behind the cab, and keep all my present tipping gear etc.....i can get a galvy chassis for around 1500, and my garage will do the swap for probably less than 600, plus the cost of a new rear prop. Project for next year methinks..
