We used the Landy on a site last week knowing we had a high chance of getting stuck. Managed three loads of chip before finally bogging down, chipper too!

Some really nice landys here, im getting a hankering for a defender . However i have a disco td5 , faithful and trouble free old steed predominantly despite the reviews and general perception .

The thing is last week i got the water pump changed . For the first time since i got it i didnt use my usual mechanic since he was snowed under .

Since i got it back there seems to be a fairly bad oil leak , its blowing back onto the bumper etc .

I brought it back to him and he completely overfilled it and said he hadnt taken off anything that could leak oil (ie with a gasket)..

Is he telling me a porkie , or is this a genuine coincidence ?

Wouldnt mind only the water pump was perfect anyway !! .

Cheers Jon, we installed the newt fencing Agee months ago so should have avoided the softer areas. We managed to get a local jcb to pull us out.

Any Landy appreciators/experts shed some light on why my 300 puts out blue smoke but only when reversing?

I did get a mate to follow me down the road and it doesn't do it then except for a couple of seconds if its been stood for an hour or more.

Does it still have the egr fitted, best thing I did to mine was to remove it and blank it off

Just got sent this picture and thought it worth sharing, nice little weekend side line and with this little chipper as a bean grinder you'd be set.
