Although the snow had gone the ground was very soft and full of water....Plan B. Slash n' Dash

No trees were harmed...But many,many metres of hawthorn,holly and elder were Slashed and dashed?

The big excavator  would come along to gather the arisings and it would be munched.Never exciting work clearing this sort of stuff as we all know but just a case of head down and crack on.Work is work.

Always pretty cool to see peoples first reaction to battery saws.They aren't intended to necessarily compete or match existing power saws but rather have their own neiche.I rate them highly and in the right situation they are a both great saws....Thanks for the work Mr Dibnah?? I enjoy being the travelling Arborist.I get to meet people and see knew sights and work in a very familiar environment which are my favourite things.Really great lads to work with and after years of bumping into Ian C nice to finally have a day or two for him.So where to next?

I had noticed some rocks over the valley in the distance that looked interesting.Would be great to see them before the sun went down.

I had heard of this place...but never been."Cow and Calf" on Ilkley Moor I think it,s called.

Impressive formation but with the sun going down it was already feeling bitterly cold.Thankfully I was in my work gear and I,ve been thankfull for my ppe on many cold occasions.

This place must have seen millions of visitors over thousands of years.Certainly some of the buildings in the area looked as if they had seen some folk in Victorian times.Quite splendid houses and a well worn pathway.
