Council slapping tpo on tree's

This has just come to my attention but I will explain the story.

About 9 weeks ago I priced up two pine trees about 50ft tall to take down in a rear garden backing onto a park, I check for a tpo and it came back all clear and I booked the job in for the following month 16.08.2012

We had to gain access through the park and applied for access on the same date as above, we was granted access to allow us to take the tree waste across the park. Around 7.30 this evening a tpo officer posts a letter through my clients door slapping a tpo on the trees. How can they do that the night before theyre due to be taken down? now I have a crew of guys with very little to do for tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Any advice? Cheers.

P.s I hope I made the story clear....

Same thing has happened to a local firm to me. Was talking about it this evening, Rings up all clear books the job in get's half way in to the job(Removal) TO turn up there's a TPO on it. Boss get's out the e-mails between him and the TO, Boss says remove the TPO or the invoice will be hand on to the L.A Still get's told to shut down now the tree looks like a pollard. Invoice gets sent of to LA surprise surprise TPO is removed 2 days later. It seems the there are alot of LA and TO doing this all of a sudden just out of the blue.

Hope you get it all resolved.

I understand that and agree with tpos, but they have had 9weeks to apply a tpo and they decided to enforce it at 7.30 the night before I start the job which I disagree with as I have had serval phone calls with them within the last weeks regarding access to the park. Had they have done this earlier in the week or over the past 9weeks I could understand but giving me access and then putting the tpo on the night before that's why I'm annoyed about the situation.
