My renewal from NFU has just come through.

 

£740 with 60% no claims, slight increase on last year.

 

06 plate D/C tipper with 70k on the clock - worth £6kish? (insured for £8k last year).

 

I think at 43 with a clean licence this is too much, but am I just out of touch?

 

Am I really that much of a risk?

 

Can anyone recommend an alternative broker?

try trust insurance - they seem to keep coming up with the cheapest (hahahaha) options for me on transit, landy, pub liab, emp liab, proff indem, tools etc etc

I'm with NFU on two vehicles. They wanted £600ish renewal on an L200 so I phoned them up and after two offers they finally quoted £450.

 

They want your business so worth discussing with them.

NFU just knocked my landrover from a renewal price of 500 with A N Other down to 425 with NFU and that included an upgrade from 3pft to comp.

 

Looks like they are hungry for new business
