I locktighted them last week. Not used it since.

 

With the stihl caps, I meant that they have come undone with me in the tree, not whilst filing up for another climber.

Also reminded me that the top screw and nut on my 441 dawgs was loose i noticed the other day... hmmmm hope i remember to tighten it up lol

Like Burrell says, if parts do come loose then use an appropriate threadlock that will take the heat. Locktite do a massive range or a light smear of JB weld will have the same effect.

 

Saws take a right beating, who actually checks the tightness of their screws and bolts? If I had the same ones coming loose regularly then I would use thread lock on it - simple:thumbup1:

 

The Stihl bolts have little teeth on the underside to make them grip although they to also eat metal.

 

I generally find more Stihl products missing bolts though:lol:

you know,. when i read the subject title i was concerned, i have never looked at my Hysqvarna's but... i didnt even know she had one! i have a husky and a stihl, both have good points and bad points. i love the power of the 440 but i love the ease-of-starting of the 181

I love huskys esspecially 372's there best saw ever made!!!

 

But my last 1 the exhaust spat out 2 bolts the dogs came loose the side caseing nut fell off and the chain brake nuts fell off 2/3 times didnt matter what you did they would come off

Why do people get so upset with paint coming off the bar? not had an issue with dawgs coming loose except im missing an exhaust screw from my 357:blushing:

 

Makes me think if they can't b arsed with a durable paint job which is soo simple a task them wot other shoddy things is there ... 346xp is my fav small ground saw as well :)

7 years of fanatical firewood cutting with my Husky 350.......joined Arbtalk........read an article about exhaust bolts coming loose.........next thing an exhaust bolt comes loose.

 

Is my Husky reading Arbtalk as well!

Why are people bothered about the bar paint lol? ... People that are, do you also get out husky orange touch up paint for when the body of the saw gets scratched? :001_tt2:
