New x27 arrived yesterday so thought I'd give it a go this afternoon. Tried it on the nasty logs that just refused to split with old axe. Blasted them to pieces! Looks like a worthwhile investment. Even split some 2ft lengths by 14" diameter! Highly recommended tool! Buy it from german eBay and save a fortune too.

Got an x27 delivered from tooled up, a uk website for under £50. Arrived within a couple of days. Had a quick play with it, split some tough knotty hornbeam very easy. Worth buying.

 

Got one last week, very lightweight but splits brilliantly. Pretty effortless compared to my Oregon maul!
