These are really good, I was weraing something similar to this today for cleaning out grainstores - proper dusty!

The good thing is they are re-chargeable, and they blow a nice shield of cold air down over you so you don't end up to hot. Visor protects the eyes to. Not cheap but well made and worth every penny imo.

If you do a lot of woodworking / milling or are working wood that has a lot of fungi spores likely to be given off I would have a look at something like this

I have had this processor for a while now but I have never felt this bad after using it before. Pain in the throat and chest when breathing in today. I will certainly never be using it again without protection of some sort.

Damp weather combined with 14deg c and a few mould spores can play havoc with asthma. You may never have a problem again. Or you may not make the night being pessimistic as you know I can be.

:biggrin: I do get hay fever so it may be that. Just dont want to be walking around in five years time with a thing against my neck talking like a Dalek  I have always been so careful in the past ... for instance when I had petrol stations and a couple of tanker drivers got mouth cancers I decided it would be prudent to let my pregnant secretary supervise the deliveries just in case :sneaky2:
