i can prob get them for you but im in scotland. the last lot i got i think i paid £30 per ton. they were all in excess of 12" at the thin end

 

£30/ton was what I was sort of thinking I could sensibly pay for that size timber, but I think the haulage from Arbroath to Bristol might just kill it. Seems Larch down this end of the country is a tad steeper. was quoted £75/ton for some, but it was perhaps a bit bigger diamter but still bit too pricey for me.

 

Wonder how long a tractor and trailer to Arbroath would take?.............:confused1:

Home lacy agricultural college hereford, have over 1000 acres of larch being felled and left on site in piles to rot. I have just attended a tree felling course there, which included felling, rounding out, and cross cutting to legnth, then stacking in piles the larchwood. There were hundreds of piles in various states, new, old and rotting. As far as i know this is an ongoing process and the college have no plans for the trees other than to train people to drop them. There is reasonable access. Hope this is of help.
