  1. Home lacy agricultural college hereford, have over 1000 acres of larch being felled and left on site in piles to rot. I have just attended a tree felling course there, which included felling, rounding out, and cross cutting to legnth, then stacking in piles the larchwood. There were hundreds of piles in various states, new, old and rotting. As far as i know this is an ongoing process and the college have no plans for the trees other than to train people to drop them. There is reasonable access. Hope this is of help. john

Hi all, i recently took a job removing 6 overgrown leylandii, (one of my first as i'm new to tree work) i had to remove it in sections. while i was stropped on my prusik knot became stuck and for every decent i had to slacken it off. I soon found that my rope was soaked in resin, have i ruined it or is there any way of getting it cleaned? Thanks in advance for any helpful tips on this, john
