How do you cut and chuck branches with both hands on the saw?

Get really excellent at bypass cuts that hold until the saw is clipped up then hand snap the branches off.

After climbing for 63 years it becomes second nature.

I have had a top handle with automatic chain break for over 4 years.

Come off the trigger and it goes on, kick back, it goes on.

It's a huge time saver on prunes .

They are out there, you just have to look.

What model Stevie or are you being sarcastic in saying you automatically put on your chain break with out thinking?

Glad it didn't end in tears!

Could you describe the circumstances that you think caused it to kick back / the type of work you were doing when it did?

Well spotted mate, read the thread, thought it happened today😄, but I guess a reminder of what can happen does no harm.

My Pillenic .

I'm a chain break die hard, always use it between every cut and moving when on the saw.

Not sure if ya taking the piddle, but step cut or silky?

Not taking the mick. Step cutting end heavy laterals is just gonna put a hole in whatever you're avoiding.

As for a silky, well, on multiple 6" branches I just really can't be bothered.
