Most relivant work out to climbers?

Swimming will do less than you think. Takes much longer to get your muscles warm so you won't get any benefit. If you want stamina, start skipping. That is one of the hardest things to do!

 

Plenty press ups with narrow wide and medium width stance to use all of your pectorals. Incline sit ups to do back and abs. Find a cheap gym and a trainer to point you right.

IMO you don't need to train or go to the gym. Just climb. Your body will sort itself out eventually with the right muscle groups. Remember it's power/weight ration that's important, not just being ripped (at least that's what i tell myself :laugh1:)

agree ..the body adapts to what it does regular. abut after it adapts to climbing and you want to become even more beastly at climbing then do bodyweight stuff like chins, pistols etc. getting a strong grip helps
