Strangest thing you have found under tree stumps

A tupperware box full of geocaching stuff. This was around about 2000 ish and I had no idea what geocaching was - it was just a box full of bizarre random stuff until I found a little note inside explaing its purpose.

were you working in a church yard? or was a it tree of rememberance:confused1::confused1:

 

Nope it was in the garden of a bungalow,at first I thought it was a junction box for cables or a motor cycle battery. called the owners over and they gave the all clear so ground around it and dug it out to find the blokes name date of birth and death.

 

Used to maintain the trees in a garden or rememberance at a crem, ground human ashes whilst doing stumps but didnt bother me.

 

Also had a stainless steel shopping basket in a hazel stand, countless scaffold clamps, a phone line, horse shoes even the steel bands from the old horse carts most things really even the odd coin :thumbup:
