Is anyone here "into" watches? I'm not, but I need a new one! Currently looking at a "Seiko 5 Automatic" - I like the plain look as opposed to the diver esq. watches you see. Is it a good make? Any idea what servicing and life span could be?

Cheers,

Sam

I've had a tissot t touch for 5 years now. Got the t-touch expert for my 21st which has a slightly larger face and does a bit more. Cracking watch. Wore the last one everyday and it never had an issue. Still on its first battery! Sapphire crystal face means you can't scratch it. Never got a mark on mine and wore it working every day.

Mine is made from titanium, nice gunmetal colour and lightweight compared to its steel counterpart. 100m water resistant too.

Who needs a watch now we all have mobile phones???????????

I cant take my phone swimming though :001_smile:

My budget is £150-£200, so a lot of the top offerings from Seiko, Tissot, Casio etc are too much.

RobR, I like the sound of the scratch free face though, do you have a rough price or a link or something?

Cheers

I've got a thing about watches, but sorry I don't know that one. Most watches nowadays keep good time.

I think I've got about 15 at the moment, I can't help looking in the windows whenever I go shopping.

15?! 7 1/2 on each arm?!

I suppose when you get into the higher end they are a bit of an investment.
