chipper up front can wear the king pins which can be a fairly expensive job

as above ibbets are a good southern dealer

This may be a bit of an issue with 900/1100, but not really with the square cabs, I've had chippers on the front of my mogs for 10 years and never had a problem with kingpins, of cause greasing is important.

The thing with putting the chipper up front is it spreads the weight better, if your chipper is on the rear and you then fill the chip box with chip, all that weight is on the rear axel.

When I put the schiesling on my 2150 it was a different machine, it levelled out and ran so much better.

If the chipper is too big for the mog, back or front you will have problems.

Makes sense but out of interest, when the chip box is empty how does it drive? It must be very different.

My U1200 is horrible with my 1t Jensen on the back but when I take it off it's a different truck completely.

I bought mine from Germany, there are no shortage of Mogs or Dealers over there.

The advantage of buying from a reputable dealer in Germany, especially with the ex German Council Mogs,is that they have been run and maintained by people accustomed to Mogs.

I spent more than what I was planning on,but bought a Mog with less than 50K Miles on the clock for a great deal less than what it would have sold for in the UK.

Have a look here.

Stick a chipper on the front and it's just better, they operate 85% I say empty, I used to have the tp250 on the back and a Werner on the front, I used to go through a lot of rear springs, but once I put the schiesling up front, the engine noise and driving were just beautiful:thumbup1:
