I think it's to do with the high carb count versus the high protein count. My missus knows a lot about this stuff and tells me about it frequently...I normally smile and nod!!!

The saturated depends on whether it comes from animal or vegetable origin. But as with all things everything in moderation.

If you eat a bag of crisps every day, it is the same as drinking 5L of oil a year.

Saturated fat is not bad for you per se, but eating too much of it is.

Mostly found in meat and dairy, so less of those and more fish and veg is a good idea.

I try to avoid processed foods where possible, as you dont really know what you are eating unless you read every single label thoroughly.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
