Yes, i agree, there is no reason at all why any new kit should not run perfectly well on Aspen. And it is, after all, Husqvarna's preferred fuel.

Another example of the damage caused by petrol to carb components.

 

This diaphragm has been attacked by petrol over the years and the petrol has leached out the chemicals which keep the material supple. It has then been stored dry and the diaphragm has gone brittle and broken up.

 

The use of Aspen from new prevents this sort of problem.

Place in derby said they sold me their last can a few days ago.

Said its a great product but they won't pay £60 delivery for the quantities they can sell.

i called in at the Aspen stand at the AA show and there doing a good deal on a pallet at a time, i was interested but having spoken to my insurance firm its a no go, they wont cover me if i hold that amount of fuel on site!

 

small quantities its simply too epensive, my local dealer in wakefield wanted £23 for 5lt

 

i can see the benifits alright but it aint gonna work as it is.

The current RRP for Aspen 2 stroke is £18.98 per 5 litres, inc vat.

 

£23.00 is a bit extreme.

I must confess I have gone back over to regular fuel in the strimmers , blowers hedgecutters just running Aspen in the 200T and 550 it was costing £25.00+ a day in the brushcutter which I couldn't justify.
