One reason I use Aspen

Just started my strimmer that I left with aspen in. When using petrol it normally held the fuel, but either the aspen evaporates quicker or a fault has just developed which seems a bit of a coincidence.

I fear you may have to look for other reasons for fuel loss, as Aspen actually evaporates at a much slower rate than standard pump fuel.

Interesting one on Saturday. Was getting some bits and bobs from a local supplier....... Anyway another customer came in and asked for a "replacement chainsaw blade" and plonked the old chain on the counter. Obviously was just a normal guy, not one of you pros. He then asked for some Aspen. I then saw him later walking out with a container of Aspen blue. Alarm bells started ringing in my head............do I, don't I. So decided to pluck up the courage and ask him if he meant to get 2 stroke pre-mix. Lo and behold, he did, and didn't realise that there were two types. Conclusion: dickhead of a member of staff should have realised that the bloke was just an ordinary bloke and clarified whether he wanted pre-mix or not. Grrrhh!

Hi Eddie, probably going to get a 200 litre drum this week or next, can you recommend a hand pump that would be suitable to decant it into fuel cans? Either one you supply, or know that works well. Don't want a cheap rubbish one of eBay! Or if any one else can help, thank you

Hi PC,

The dealer who supplies you the drum can order a good quality metal hand fuel pump from us. They are just over £200.

Please remember there is a £40 delivery charge on one 200litre drum.

Might be cheaper to get free delivery on 270 litres in five litre cans and save you the time decanting and the risk of contamination.

Your Aspen dealer can supply everything you need.

Let me know if you need anymore help or advise.

All the best

Eddie
