this is my favorite gadget i haven't quite got it yet its for Christmas but i ordered it and the wife wont let me see it till then ..... but i know where its hidden so when she goes out i go up and paw it a little tee hee :001_tongue:

Same here. No dimming room lights, but I do have 7 channel surround sound with a 'proper' hifi to drive them. Dontcha just love home cinema?!

 

 

9.1 surround set up with all nine speakers nicely set up, no wires etc. Screen drop down from behind a pelmet on the wall, again no visible wires.

 

The lights are just b&q dimmable remote sockets, cheap but effective. MAke sure they are the only ones before sitting down and you just press a switch on the remote and they dim and go off!

 

Watched the new Indiana Jones film last night in Blu ray. Worst film I've ever seen, most dissapointed!!

The lights are just b&q dimmable remote sockets, cheap but effective. MAke sure they are the only ones before sitting down and you just press a switch on the remote and they dim and go off!

a good film to watch with some nice loud surround sound is Master and Commander...good film but also excellent sound effects/music etc..

electronic kitchen scales(wannabe chef) i'm totally obsessed with them,my mrs caught me the other night trying to weigh the new pup on them,sod wouldn't sit still so i wrapped it in a blanket and put it in a large mixing bowl,weighed it then re-weighed the blanket and bowl,it was 1.4 kilos......................i need to get out more perhaps!!

I need to get a proper screen. Been using a wall for 3 years :001_smile:

 

I too watched the new Indiana Jones film 2 nights ago. It was like eating MacDonalds food. Highly enjoyable but you know its crap really...

Its got to be my toughbook cf-19- tablet laptop, got it for on site is wterproof etc and mega tough.... Typing on it now as it is small enough to use around the house when not at the desktop pc's...

 

Has in built gps which is sub meter accuracy, bluetooth etc etc

 

Love it and recommend it to everyone, only problem is they are a little pricey :scared1:
