Hmmmm...i should really have looked into it properly and not taken his word for it. So no driving the 5.5 tonne full stop?

 

No. Unless off road. On a normal car licence you can't under any circumstance go over 3.5t

I got my provisional liscence through for hgv a the other day I got a leaflet about new changes to liscences does anyone know what B1 is l about? I heard from a good source that they were thinking about down rating the weight on a car liscences but was t sure if this is it??
