Funnily enough I've been looking online tonight too. These look pretty good

Really Wild Flowers - British wildflower seed, plants, bulbs & orchids for your garden

I watched a 3part show on bbc 2 yesterday with Sarah Raven (she wasn't watching it with me LOL).

BBC iPlayer - Search :S Bees, Butterflies and Blooms

Planting urban meadows to encourage pollinators into cities. I didn't realise but there is a mass planting experiment going on for the olympics around the stadia.

Feeling inspired to sack off the scruffy front lawn and go wild!

Anyone know a good wildflower seed suplier ? been searching the web which is just confusing me . Doing approx 50 m2 to start with.

This field gets reseeded every year (!): not strictly 'wild' but I can find out the source if you like.

I watched the Sarah Raven series, very good, if only people could see the long term effects of wildflower areas instead of the instant colour schemes that are pretty but lifeless.

I felt for her, trying to persuade the councils and such like, that this was a positive thing to do, good luck to her, and that last picture of the field above, just stunning.

I'll get hold of the supplier for these next week when I'm back at work, (If they're from anywhere different from the links already supplied)

Stunning Jon, where is that?

Yep, that field sure has impact doesn't it. It's in Sussex; if anyone recognises it can I ask you to keep it to yourselves? The owner bought the place for privacy and values that highly. Thanks.

Cousin Jack: your point about wildlife friendly vs colour is well made. My example is obviously done for the latter purpose - most of the flowers are Annual - but to be fair does attract a decent number of butterflies and bees.

I'll find out the seed supplier.
