I think somthing should be done! im sick of just rolling over and grinning through my teeth :sneaky2: before they had just 1 hand in our pockets now its 2! they do us by taxing us to death and now they are nicking our work before we get chance to even make a living:thumbdown:

seen it with County councils , borough councils & now even housing associations

 

 

all have some funding from the public purse & are therefore artificially helped to compete

 

 

it doesn’t always mean they are competitive though,

 

however as buyers institutions are in the unique position to potentially ask external commercial company’s for quotes to do work &

in theory they could then use that same commercial information for themselves to bid on other work....which potentially could be against those very same companies..

 

another second tier of the public sector ,, this time pushing the commercial guys further to the wall

 

seems like a mad thought but why not do the rational thing & only have the staff & equipment for their own publiclly funded need.........

If you have the time try and see if they are breaking any EU laws.... god knows how you do that....

One point I am going to raise as a failure the local authority is that they are offering free advice and quotations, two points here the free advice requires professional indemnity which they don't have and professional qualifications which most only seem to have at level 2 or level 3 at management level.?
