new boots

i'm looking for a new pair of boots, nothing fancy or expensive but they need to be the obvious e.g. comfortable, reasonably good in water, strong, chainsaw protective, etc

i've looked at the new stein explorers and the haix airpower gold, both for about £150 and quite happy with both of them

are there any others i should consider?

Invest in boots. Can't stress that any more! It's what you use the most, plus think about how much sore cold feet will drag your morale down. Warm comfy feet only cost a bit more!

I have the meindl airstreams, went from haix blue ridge to these. And I'll be buying another pair when they wear out. Really comfy, good gripping sole cant beat them!

Lavoro Sherwoods ae the way to go (for me anyway) most comfy boots ive ever owned, very light, class 3, and lovely and flexible for 'delicate' climbing, but rigid enough take spikes well. i'd reccomend them over every other pair of boots ive owned!
