Hi sasah when you ring the council just give the the postcode of the address and they will do a check for you on conservation area and run a tpo check for the address it take a couple of mins for them to do over the phone .

My council is very helpful as I do this quite often I usually have several applications all running at once it's all very easy and nothing to worry about the paper work is easy to do .

Hope this helps

Always ring up and ask to speak to the TO or the planning admin people... and of course get their name for reference, or to be really sure get a reply by email!

Handy website to find your local council:

Directgov:

and then if you need to make an application do it via the planning portal or down load any councils form by going here:

Planning Portal | 1-App

All useful info!

Thanks little tree and everyone else for your reply, I know a fairly large area of where I will be working is probably part of a conservation area but have no idea how much of it is, I did mean to ask my friend the other day when I was working with him as he deals with the local TO but it slipped my mind and when i read the other post last night I thought its one of the best places to ask :001_smile:
