that would be a easy sat morning job £140 thats what i can see from the pic but pics can be mis leading

all u can do is look at the job work out how long u think it will take u (price it per hour + waste +chipper what ever u want to put on+ stumpginder )

u want to cover ur costs and make a wage

if 300 is what u think it will cost u to do the job a make a bit of profit then 300 is ur price

We all moan there isnt enough

Money tobe earned in this game with prices like that I wonder why! No offence but that is what you call shooting yaself in the foot. That job has 300 all over it.

Hi all being as I am new to the industry I am a bit unsure on pricing certain jobs. Could somebody please tell me roughly what the going rate would be to fell this silver birch? As you can see from the photo the access to it is good.

ther is 1, hrs work in that tree cut & chuck ,would be chipped as fast as i could cut it,& i.am 45, so if it takes you youngens half a day your in the wrong job :biggrin:

Are we looking at the same tree??? £150 ,maybe an extra £80 with the stump, if I charged £300 for ten minutes work I wouldn't have any...

I agree that job wouldn't take long, but thats are problem we all go so cheap we all have to fight to get so many jobs done a day to earn are bacon. I have taken down many of trees like that with 300 on it. I no location is dependant but I just feel we all do ourselves no favours because if work is slow it's not worth getting out of bed for that price.

excuse me!!! £150 x 6 = £900 now I know i can sort out six birches easy like that in my day,with the team of my guys,,,same as most of you,,,yes they dont come up that regularly,,but,,were talking about one tree,,,I can easy do that as first job and fit in two more,,,how much do you need to earn??? cause tescos dont pay them wages,,,:confused1:
