If you can remember at all what bit you or check your clothes for any dead insect or spider please do so and GO TO THE HOSPITAL AT ONCE, In my Opinion you are showing signs of a bite from something Venomous and the swelling is the poison working it's way thru your system. This is a serious matter.. Don't waste any time taking Antibiotics,You do not have an infection, you have been poisoned from the bite of what I do not know?. Antibiotics will not help you regarding this matter. Please go to the doctor ASAP, Please.

Got bitten on friday night and now my hand and arm a little bit larger than normal lol.

I suffered the same recently. Similar two puncture wounds, bruising and a blister. I had a google and decided on a spider bite but would be interested if you find out more. I know there is a colony of venomous american spiders in Bucks but I wasn't near there. I have a photo on my works camera.

Once of those big house spiders I would bet. I didn't think they could bite but my missis got bit by one. Her arm swelled up and she had a welt just like that

Really, I catch them all the time and hold them in my hand so my children can look at them, never been bitten.

I got bit by something and thought nothing of it. Hand and arm swelled up. Decided to go to hospital two days later. Dr said it was good I came in when I did because another day later and I would have blood poisoning. !!!

Been bitten about three times by this mystery bug and wherever bit swelled up.

Take anti biotics I got from hosp the first time around and everything's ok.

Would like to know what it is, is biting me tho ???

I can't feel it at the time, but it itches

Don't panic Mr Mainwaring

I take exception to your comparison to Mr. Mainwaring. My better half lost her Father from a simple Bee sting due to Anaphylactic shock he lived for a 1/2 hour after this event and passed on. I bet most people on this site have no clue how dangerous it is to be bitten or stung by something and just shrug it off.

Knowledge is power for those willing to learn from others. Knowledge and experience is priceless IMO. For all who are working in the field make sure your first aid kit is current and don't take for granted things like bee stings or bites, the live you save may well be your own.
