Sun's shining here and it's snowing a blizzard at the same time right now.

Had that about 3 hours ago here, all passed now and brightened up, still cold though in the breeze.

Absolutely STUNNING sky scape this evening as the sun was setting.  Photo wouldn't have done it justice but it was a genuine pleasure to behold!

 

Maybe we've done the planet a decent bit of 'good' by such significantly reduced aviation.

 

On a bit of a tangent - can't help but think there are more birds generally around this year than I've noticed in previous years.  Might be my imagination, or confirmation bias, or just pure coincidence.  Anyone agree or is it a touch of madness?

went for a drive after work with mrs along the Tees as beautiful and sunny but frigging freezing out in the wind.

this am was expecting to see heavy frost but nothing. the thermometer on the car said minus 1. no frost on windscreen but some wood dust dirtying it so did a wash wipe and the water froze on contact

Exactly the same for me ! Its spookily the same !

Frost this morning sun shine by midday then snow shower after lunch, Was reducing a couple of Limes today with MEWP was bloody freezing then landed up climbing to get bits MEWP wouldn't reach was a bit warmer, long time since I climbed with over trousers over chainsaw trousers and not sweating.

Bitterly cold wind with sunshine this morning then all went downhill at dinner, wind picked up bringing steady snow flurry,s all aft and some horendace hail thrown in, was all white about 3pm then all gone in about 20 mins, day ended with no wind but temps fell rapidly as sun went down, so 1st swallow last friday in some nice sunshine then 2 days later on sunday morn 2" of snow. very strange,
