Whats the weather like near you?

Just check our local amateur weather station, we've had 13.4 inches of rain so far this month, that's nearly 1/2 inch per day!

As you can see from the rest of the details we've had quite a nice day.

It's no joke is it.

 

Local news said over the last 2 months 1/2 meter had fallen and that was not even up on the hills. would not be surprised if it was not getting up to near a meter on the high ground. 250mm fell in three days early on in the month but can't get any long term records for that weather station.

We are way luckier than the poor souls in your neck of the woods. We are up on the hill so all the rain just rushes off but looking at flooding on the levels is proper bad.

 

Do you recon todays promise by the government to dredge will make any difference?

HI WOOD it would of helped if the EA dredge back last summer mate now it going to take a very long time get water off mate 30mm this friday today it may take to the summer to get the water off down thanks jon

That's quite something (if accurate?) Swaledale has not had more than 1/2" of rain during a day since last year, but only one dry day since 17th dec!
