Horrible.

Cold and windy. And now it's raining.

Also had a warning over the tide tonight aswell. It's on a spring tide and there is a surge behind it.

The tide is suppose to be 7.6m but with a surge it will jump to 8.4m.

A surge is caused by high pressure meeting and pushing water up. It then adds a surge and the tide is higher.

With the winds aswell it will make for interesting boats. Last time this happened the lifeboat tore from its moorings and went for its own jolly around the marina along with a few others.

This lead to a fare bit of damage to other boats and pontoons. So the lifeboat has been moved today to another mooring where it will be safer.

But still waiting for a pager call saying it's gone for a joy ride again. Lol.

Dismantled a birch first thing then opted not to do the second as the wind was blowing a hooly (self preservation kicked in). Meant to be in Gorleston tomorrow but even though the customers have sand bagged and moved everything upstairs, they have been evacuated by the authorities. What a hideous prospect in store for them.

High winds are all over bar the shouting with at least 7-10 days of benign relatively dry cloudy milder south westerlies coming up from saturday onwards as a "euro-high" ridge settles and builds to our SE, lots of good days for tree work prior to crimbo fellas ;)
