Next door house to my mum got a strike a couple of weeks ago. It also fried everything electrical in her house. Boiler electors, phones, Internet router, TV, nothing was spared. No fire, no fancy bolt of lightning, just a huge power surge. BT are currently replacing miles of fibre optic cabling they'd just installed after a ground strike the same day, that was about a mile from me.

This house got struck a few doors down from a friend of mine a few weeks back!

It's pouring down with rain, thunder and lightening to match.......our "brave" dog is hid up under the coffee table......Poor old boy!
