An apology for over loading with photos but this place has to be seen to be believed. Also, a massive thanks to MDVaden. I reread this thread several times to pick out all the info from Mario. Several times his info proved way better than I was able to pick up in the visitor centre as they seemed to cater more to selling trinkets to the tourists (me included). You can spend weeks in the park exploring. As it was we got a couple of days of driving and walking.

Since 100% rain was forecast for Saturday afternoon, I just went back for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, because the wet season is the ultimate. Not sure if you passed though Hiouchi, visiting Jedediah Smith Redwoods, but a woman serving at the cafe, mentioned the man who helps had a Mustang he was hoping for photos of. Asked him to bring his Ford into the park around 5pm Thursday.
