Tennis elbow....

accupuncture, has worked me me incredibly well on a bad back so i'd try it on an elbow. Nothing to loose except bit of money i guess, i'd tried everything for my back, even brought one of them fancy foam matress things which made it alot worse, then changed back manipulater (no hope of speeling the big word after a strong vodka) and he stuck in some needlesacross my back and neck, after 4wks it was spot on after 12months of agony and nobody or nothing seeming to help it. Didn't fancy the needles after he showed how long they were and where they were going but its better than back pain and taking painkillers all the time!!!

I suffer with it as well I had the injections they worked a treat for about 8 months no pain at all then slowly came back. Went back to docs they wont inject me again. So I tried the epicondial (spelling?) straps they really work well and I am at the stage now where I dont need to wear them all the time.

Just getting over a bout of it brought on by too much sanding....

Physio twice a week (from a good physio) and it's under control after 3 months.

Niggly but can now work a good few hours a day.

There is no magic pill and it comes down to a combo of physio, strapping, changing the way you work and rest.....

I too have suffered with this some years ago folowing years of repeatative mechanical work, the injection worked for me but the doc said it would only last approx six months. With rest and a change of work it has been kept at bay although it aches in the morning.

Not sure if you can get further injections.

If im honest the thought of getting my elbow injected is my worst nightmare - girly i know but my one and only phobia is needles and injections - had to be hypnotised before getting my jabs for my holidays two years ago!!!

Physio and rest it is... oh and a new friction device for climbing
