Id sack the inspecter and take on the big man,we dont know if the oik was making a cock of himself leading up to the ejecton, had a similar thing happen on a coach years ago,a youth was being particularly gobby when from nowhere a normally quiet lad went back and gave him a slap problem solved, may not have been right but it worked.

1:54. His head hit the deck first. As you have not answered the question I have posted twice I assume you think it is fine to use violence in front of small children? This is not the wild west.

Violence (n)

1. Physical force exerted for the purpose of violating, damaging, or abusing: crimes of violence.

2. The act or an instance of violent action or behavior.

3. Intensity or severity, as in natural phenomena; untamed force: the violence of a tornado.

4. Abusive or unjust exercise of power.

5. Abuse or injury to meaning, content, or intent: do violence to a text.

6. Vehemence of feeling or expression; fervor.

Why do people think that "rough justice" is fair? Mob law is the mother of tyrants.

I disagree, you can't possibly tell from the vid how he lands, he hurts his face trying to get back on, self inflicted, IMO.

I did not realise you had asked me a questions, TBH I would have been happier for my children to see the consequences of that lads foul behaviour, so them seeing him dealt with appropriately rather than get away with his actions.

If that lad had been my son I would thank the "big man" and hang my head in shame because of my total failure as a parent.

I'm please to say that I could happily stake my life on the fact that neither of my sons would ever behave in such an appalling manor.

Well said mate.

It's only the Guardian readers and people who can't decipher Scotlandish language who have a problem with it anyway.

Well done he should have booted him in the sack as well:001_smile:

What else was going to happen, he was not paying! He was not getting off! Oh no wait we will phone the police. Lol. I think it was in Linlithgow, if so everyone on that train would have died of starvation before the police got there.

Mon the big man:lol:

Those kids learnt a valuable lesson that day. Buy train tickets :thumbup1:

Having seen the story on both sides and had a think about this I agree with the big man’s actions but accept that he acted outside the law. Sometimes the law protects the unworthy.

Having said that, and for the sake of rhetoric I am going to come over all liberal and ask, could it be the lesson they learned was buy a ticket or some bloke will hoof you off the train?

Still nothing like a lesson learned in youth to traumatise, I mean stick with you.

All the reports (and video) are that the big man ripped the scrote out of his seat and left the his bag behind. Said scrote was trying to re unite himself with his bag, since the big man had no legal right to do what he did and the scrote is entitled not to be separated from his worldly goods, I don’t see how any injuries could be regarded as self inflicted, had the big man not intervened the scrote would probably not have become injured so causality of the injury is down to the actions of the big man.

I make the point because the big man is unfortunately liable for the injuries and even if the law does not bring him to account the scrote and his ambulance chaser will probably bring a private action for compensation. It’s unfortunate that in drawing a line in the sand the big man has left himself open to prosecution.

I don’t think the injuries were self inflicted but the scrote was most definitely the author of his own misfortune
