We use the Big Huskey back pack will move anything in its path,ultra reliable,good balance and easy to start.

I would have thought that the Latest Stihl and Husky top handles have improved Safety no end as none of them have enough power to cause kick back or spin fast enough to cut flesh unlike my old MS 200 now that was a saw,could understand banning that ,twas an Animal.

We use a TW 190 nice bit of kit and 12 grand ought to buy you a beut.

Id buy something else Jenson etc as we run two and the quality is pretty poor and not very service friendly not to many grease points etc.

Hi all one of our younger lads did a Chipper course this week ,the Assesor a well respected man from our area reconed we could be about to have a blanket ban on top handle chainsaws due to an acceleration in injurys caused by one handed users,has anyone else heard the same don't know if this includes battery operated saws,seems a bit bizarre but the source of this is a very reliable one cheers

Yep done two on mine seems to happen when they kick back hard,never had this problem with a 57 so I recon it just a weak point im sure they will sort it.

Work it like any other saw get rid of the spark arrester thingey as it restricts it,down side they love clutches and chain brakes and ive done 3 huskey 15 inch bars ,it seems to have too much power for the roller bearing on the end of the bar to cope with but still a top saw loads of guts,enjoy.

Check the fuel cap because they leek and let water in,clear it out replace the filters again rap a plastc bag around the fuel cap and give it a go,also check the electric joiner on the bottom of the hopper they sometimes make dodgey connections,clean them and put back together and also give the ignition switch a good clean and a good spray of wd cheers SSB.

Ok so theres a few of the new Huskys around now ,whats the opinion so far,are they any good or am I better off with a bow saw.

Combined trees has one very shiny,saw it on Friday,a trifle gay looking if im honest but it could be a grower,as long as it works well who cares.

The truth is I could get similar working in Tesco but id hate it I love the job but it grates when you don't get paid what your worth,or like I said others get more for doing the same as you,the trend within the company is to take people on train them up and then they F off for a pound an hour more,why not reward the ones who stay loyal who do the winter call outs,etc ,change is needed or we will never keep anyone whos half way decent.

I agree but I can do their job can they do mine,im not thinking just of me we could all do with a bit more.

Ive just read a couple of comments ie 7 pound an hour lorry driving etc,but it is only driving those guys and girls ,are more at risk from boredom and bad diets,they don't work with the inherent dangers that we do every day,tree surgery is danderous as it is throw power lines in the mix and you've doubled the danger,i just think that in this day and age the pay should be better.

Im not really bitching about the pay as such,i just wanted a heads up at to the general pay scale of utility firms else where our lot are a bit cloak and dagger when it comes to pay scales,some get more than others for doing the same job although they've been there less time,and are no more qualified,it all seems a bit odd to say the least.

Firm paid for the Utility courses but I had everything up to unit 40 when I joined them.

Is 8.95 per hour a good rate of pay for a fully qualified second climber,working for one of the biggest Utility contractors in the South West,i personally think its abit poor but id appretiate your input.

We used to use a mint solution on the horses years ago when we had summers and it seemed to work so im tempted to try a dettol and wild mint solution a go if it works its cheap,and ill pass on the outcome,but im not holding my breath TreeWork and Summer weather as far as im concerned dont go together,give me a nice frosty day anytime.

Yep its that time of year again,what potions and lotions do the guys and gals on here use to prevent getting bit,i use jungle formula about a fiver from Tesco,its ok but not brilliant ,what do you recommend.:scared1::

March mabe April ,but which year,on a good note our latest batch of the new ms200,s appear to be a whole lot better than the ones we had stolen,they dont stall and the oilers seem to be fine, i was told by our local dealer that he didnt recon we would see the new husky,until the summer it still has emition issues,but thats only what ive heard.

Dont know about the 550 but ive got a new 560 and its poor revs like hell but has no torque low down power not as good as my old well used 57,but it is light and quite pretty a bit like a Dyson.

Use a file the next size down and be agressive on the depth guages simple.
