Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

Just moved to a vt 2 wraps 3 braids & i'm finding it gets hard to move under load when working with the wr. Is this because my tether is to short from knut days, or just a matter of playing around more with wraps & braids on the vt. I

I have dropped a wrap from 3 to 2 & added a braid as I found 2 & 2 too loose.

Any feed back much appreciated.

i was running 3 wraps 2 braids with a vt. Found armour pruss was best and my tether is 10" so the hitch sat 2cm below the wrench.

Cheers fellas. I'm thinking it may be my tether length. Ian said his is 10 inch which is a good deal longer than mine so I will have a go at making a bigger on & see how that goes.

I am using armor prus on imori. I may change my working line to tachion & see how that works too.

So just for a giggle i had my ZK2 prototype loler'd today and well it failed. Id given it so much stick the silic pin area was not round but oval now. I'll aim to pop some pics up later on in the week for those who care.

So what actually made it wear to an oval shape

After this last few rec climbs and having tried out other SRT friction devices I don't think I will ever use another one in the same production manner as I do the rope wrench, for me it really is the best device on the market, I love the fact that it has no flaws what so ever, I may purchase other devices but the rope wrench will always be my no1
