First impressions

Chucked the throwline pretty much to the top of the 50-60ft beech, no need to isolate a branch - woohoo!

Got to the top very quickly without being too knackered.

Played about with redirects for a little bit - amazing!

Took a little to get used to, but I can see it being a very useful system for medium to large trees, especially reductions.

The redirects are always the clincher :thumbup1:

The wrench shouldn't touch your hitch when its in the neutral positon and your hitch takes all of your weight.. Just in case something lands on the wrench it doesn't send you flying out of the tree..

Mine sits about 1cm above the hitch, i agree with what your saying though a twig can sometimes annoy. But i find it so much better being a tight system.

Yea i suppose its nice to hand over hand if the wrench sits lower.. I think there is about a half a hands width between the fully depressed wrench and my loaded hitch. I stick by the rule (rarely)

Just moved to a vt 2 wraps 3 braids & i'm finding it gets hard to move under load when working with the wr. Is this because my tether is to short from knut days, or just a matter of playing around more with wraps & braids on the vt. I

I have dropped a wrap from 3 to 2 & added a braid as I found 2 & 2 too loose.

Any feed back much appreciated.
