Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

I tie a 3/16" piece of bungee to the top loop on the back of my TM, tie a micro biner on the other end. I clip that over my shoulder when ascending, then clip it on my saddle when not using it. works great, LOTS is good, until you need you lanyard while it is being used ;) and my method is a lot cooler than the inner tube, which I have tried :) it is the best method I have found so far.

we have been using the same set up with a bungy cord and works great, brilliant when you have you top tie in and theres lots of branchs just scramble up whilst the wrench is moving with you and its all self tending.

yep, it pretty rocks and outshines all other methods, simple, cheap, easy and fast, and the self tending is awesome whilst climbing the tree, I love it ;)

makes the LOTS and hot, heavy inner-tube kinda' obsolete, anybody I let try this , says it is the way to go.

Just an old one, remove te valve and place on your upper body but making a twist so it fig 8 it's self. Like webbing to make a chest harness. Then just clip a crab on the front and clip I to the uni top hole or the hitch climber.

So you're wearing an '8' over your chest. What stops it sliding forwards off your shoulders and down your arms?

I modified my RW today so that it has two attach points at the tether end. One for the tether and the other for over the shoulder or chest clip. The bronze rollers are both free to turn, but it still works fine to add friction above the hitch.
