Yeah, i use the smaller pin and could move tacyon and PI through it. This week i've been testing Samson Velocity with it and prefer it over all the others. I've been working with a double base anchor system recently too, checking back ups so its ground safe.....

Any old tat will do Paul.

I bought some cord from a DIY store (B+Q, other DIY stores are available:biggrin:) that does the job nicely, quality tat:001_smile:

That's it I'm converted, had my first go on a RW today on a oak reduction, did one quarter on my SJ then after a quick coffee break setup the RW and took it for a spin, and I'm not going back :thumbup1: it was awesome, messed about abit with the length of the lanyard and got it working well,

also played with a few redirects and installed a RADS system with a kong duck and micro pulley but soon gave that up as I found it easier to just come back in normally, just need to tinker about with ascending and TIP methods and there'll be no stopping me haha

Awesome.

I did my first full SRT/RW today, what can i say that hasn't already been said!? Freedom!!!! I was moving around the crown of an Oak like I never have, it feels so natural. As with Marcus, returning from branch walking was no probs. Re-directed a couple of times, sweet. I too need to work on more efficient ascending and TIPs and base anchors and ........... This is a whole new ball game:thumbup: Now I have re-read the whole post as it will make so much more sense, haha.

Many thanks for all the positve posts and to Kevin :thumbup1:

This thread is a beast! No idea where I was when I last read it/posted but it just keeps evolving. Had to do some cobra today, and had to keep nipping down to get stuff I'd forgot. Damn I love srt climbing- soooo simple and efficient.

83 pages and counting. Not bad going. Only problem is I have to listen to Mason everyday about the RW now. Never shuts up about it  couple of small private jobs this weekend so I'm going to just try and use the wrench for the both of them, no ddrt, and see how I get on.

Yeah yeah I know. I've got most of it sussed but still have a problem with ascending. Alright if I have a branch to grab hold of or if I stop and think about it but otherwise I get a bit squirrely on it. Like you and a few others have said though bro, have to give it a while and climb predominantly on the wrench to become confident. Anyway, with Mason harping in my ear every five minutes there's fat chance of climbing on any other system without some derogatory mark being forthcoming. Just have to figure out that inner tube thingy as that looks way easier than the lanyard over the shoulder.

Ian, are you still on the HC with these ropes or back on your LJ? If the HC, what hitch cord?

Also, have you used your Kermantle rope with the HC and RW?

Thanks

What's this all about? Description or photo please? :thumbup1:

Unless its a deeply personal tribal typa thang you and Mason have going on then we don't want to know.
