THere have been a few posts on this thread requesting video of a dismantle on spikes while using a RW.

Why?

Its no different, you just take the tree down same as always and it's no different if you're rigging. Actually, rigging when on SRT I've found I can easily 'redirect' my rope to keep it away from the rigging line. It's a nice touch.

Oh, there is one difference. I am not as tired at the end of the day!

Yeah i would of thought rigging on a RW is a doddle, its fine tip reduction/work I always found hard to get my head around in SRT and this is to me what requires the greatest amount of endurance and strength to do day in day out.

 

Oh and would you say you do not feel as tired at the end of the day on the RW?

getting to the tips is easier if anything, you just got to plan better, drop through forks so that you are dropping onto the limb instead of walking right out on it. it makes for better work positions too, just needs a different thought process to how you are used to approaching the tree.
