Tips after a job

We get the normal 5,10,20's, wine, cider, food etc. But some of the most memorable things things people have given us are, an old stihl 64 with 34in bar, Honda rotivator, and the strangest one..... potted cannabis plants from an old couple who had quite a large collection in a big shed, i don't even smoke the stuff, but felt rude to refuse them!

Sounds like more than a tip to me. Tip, bud, leaf, the whole shebang

I shall withhold the identity of the premier league footballer in question .... but needless to say he payed double what I had quoted to dismantle a large Ash tree!! That made my month!! other than that tens, twentys, whiskey, wine, beer, eggs, cooking apples, fudge, cake, a vintage axe (!) to name but a few. Makes it all worth while when people are chuffed with your efforts.

do tell!

Havnt really been given tips as I ain't in that sort of job but a couple of years ago had to take a Xmas tree with the boss to a certain miss beeny, anyway was just getting back into pickup and she comes running back out with two bottles of red wine, showed it to a friend who knows his wine an said it was very good stuff not cheap. Was best red I have ever had.

He (better not give the name away!) was playing for Portsmouth at the time, living in our local area... played for a few big clubs before that...... reason for doing the work was because his (very expensive) car collection keep having twigs fall on them, which just wouldn't do!!!

got £15 notes from cust nieghbour yesterday for stacking the timber in his garden, the tree was on the boundry 1m to carry them instead of the epic drag round the house to the truck!

Saved our backs and got £15 each for our trouble. :thumbup1:

Never seen a £15 note! I only do small jobs for little old ladies etc but have been given a wheelbarrow, Stihl strimmer and an unnamed petrol lawnmower amongst other things. Those who grow vegetables etc always give me a selection to try.
