I am considering changing my Nissan D22 pickup for a new Nissan NP300 Single Cab 4 x 4 ,only trouble is the only place I can find them is in South Africa. Anyone ever imported one from South Africa. Why the NP300,because it is the only pickup still made with a BENCH SEAT, AND IT IS STILL PRETTY BASIC BUT FUNCTIONAL FOR WORK. If anyone else is interested look up Nissan South Africa.A Nissan dealer over here told me they are not made anymore,I just hate being told B...**** ,by car salesman.

You can order one from any uk Nissan dealer.

Maybe your dealer is trying to con you into buying a d40 instead.

was recently thinking about trading in my 54 reg D22 Kingcab for a new NP300 crewcab after reading some reviews - same as the old D22 Navara, revised engine, excellent value for money etc.....still has the 3 ton towing capacity.

Anyway so I asked my local Nissan dealer about it and they denied the vehicle even existed telling me what I wanted was a D40. Which I didn't as the D40 looks like an oversized motorway boat designed for yuppies and frustrated accountants who do 'extreme sports' at the weekends.

If anyone ever does find out what happened to the NP300, let me know.

Hi Peter and Scotspine 1,this is the web site to look at where you will see NissanNP 300. Many thanks PETER for contacting Nissan, but I justwonder??

http://www.nissan.co.za/en/web/models/NP300WORKHORSE/home/hpage.htm

I do not know what it lacks,to comply with road regulations in U.K,I would be very interested to know.

By coincidence have had a log order from a guy that lives not far from me, but has a factory in Swaziland Africa. He said if I tell him the model of Nissan truck I am interested in he will get one of his employees to go to the local Nissan garage out there and find out the price for one. He has said that one thing to watch out for is that the speedometer out there are only in Kms per hour. Any way I will proceed with extreme caution, but they are STILL MADE.
