Wasp nests

Got stung 3 times yesterday, yet another wasp nest in a tree i have taken down and not spotted the nest. Damn they sure got angry when their home hit the floor.

Anyone else been having more problems with them this year ?

Had to blitz a big ground-sited nest last weekend after girlfriend's dad got stung around a dozen times when he ran his ride-on mower over the top of it

Yes have found three this year, usually in the ground when i drag a log over the nest. The last one i was stung about 40 mtrs away where i thought i was safe!

Taking a hung up windblow down, everything going fine until the very last cut, soon as it hit the ground the little stingy bar stewards got very annoyed, stung about 8 times and the dog in the truck (about 40ft away) stung twice. They didn't get another chance to annoy me, applied some very effective wasp exterminator :-)

Noticed alot more this year around here, got done thursday if the back of the neck.

Most of our guys have been stung in the last week or 2.

have found loads of wasps beginning to overwinter in various logpiles

I saw an episode of time team that had the ideal tool for dealing with wasp nests, it’s a ww1 invention called the livens flame projector or something like that

I was stood on a log pile on Friday and I am assuming a wasp has gone up my shirt and stung me on the stomach... made a right mess

Had to kill 5 nests so far this year,been stung once & got away with it,(I have to carry an epipen),didnt need it for this one.
