I haven't no, only managed to think about doing it as something popped up, but hopefully I'll have a go next week in a evening :001_smile:

I've seen a few running on YouTube, they seem to have loads of torque :001_tongue: can't wait to have her going so I can have a play. Do you run yours on big bars? Say 36"? Does it pull it well?

36" .404 chain on this one. I actually prefer .404 over about 32" .It is ported and the muffler opened up so doesn't struggle to pull the full bar in oak/beech.

Where's the outer dog, wise? I personally prefer 3/8 on 36", but that's because I couldn't be bothered to change the rim on my 385... And the fact that the whole set-up cost me £40

I have a Husqvarna 142 which has had a new plug and air filter. I have reset both the L AND H screws to 1 and 1/4 turns. It fires fine on choke then when I try to start it, it fires then dies straight away, whether the brake is on or not. The only way it will run is with the idle cranked high enough to rev it hard from the off. Could it be the clutch spring is weak or something else? :confused1:

Possibly a mild seize, I've dealt with a 357 and 394 that both had a tiny bit of transfer, they would run as long as throttle was applied, but died immediately on idle

It may not be as severe as suggested.

The most common cause of your symptons, and the easiest to fix, is a split impulse hose.

This is extremely common as the hose is made of rubbish rubber which splits very easily as it decomposes.

The fix has been covered many times on this forum, this is a link to just one of those fixes. (take no notice of the thread title)

Thanks Barry. I'll have a look at that today if I get a chance. Got a list of jobs from management to do first though. :001_rolleyes::biggrin:
