Pop-up piston & port work looks great. Be nice to see the gains from all that hard work.

Would it not have been easier to buy a Stihl instead

I am looking forward to firing this one up when complete, all interesting stuff!

Not sure what you mean about Stihl - do they make chainsaws:lol::001_rolleyes::lol:

Nice work, Spud. The 346xp's and the 372's are tremendous powerhouses when ported well. But the new MS261, when thoroughly gutted of it's strato feature and ported, is amazing as well. far cry better than the old 260.

Dolmar 133 super still on bench, needs that oiler looking at still.... whats chances of getting a pump?

Any how, upon insection of machines, found the stihl 261 missing the "e" clip from the clutch :confused1:

Few other parts to get etc when next in the shop

And yesterdays casualty was the 200t with knackered oil cap! also it was playing up on the first tank of fuel!

Just purchased in to refurb a Stihl 034, this was a runner that dies after running some time, I thought carb/fuel problem. On getting it in, I noticed it was stiff to pull over, it wasnt siezed so took off the recoil - OK there so took the sprocket off - OMG, one smashed up clutch and a fooked oiler pinion.

Anyone got a spare 034 clutch and oiler pinion - they are smashed up as in the pic.

Got a MS200 I did for Burrell in the porch - he is lending it out to a local guy and it looks like the local estate agent knows a quality product when he sees it after his flyer dropped through the letterbox:thumbup:

The 357XP pop up piston is on hold - got an air leak in the carb boot due to the modification and needs further fettling to sort it out.
