Got it built now , used a 272xp single ring piston  piston which is 40 thou taller  to increase the compression  so removed a bit off the top to get transfer timing closer , and did a bit of  woods porting on the BB cyl, ground away some of the transfers to be flush with case for better flow and , the 272 piston is windowed and 22 grm lighter than the 372 one built it and did pressure and vac test for 10 mins solid , turned the crank a few times to see any difference but none installed a 52 x1.5mm caber ring as they are better by miles  , took a bit of playing around with the carb to get it running good for the bed in, 4 stroking at 12600 and 40:1 oil mix with full ester Ipone Samouri synth racing 2 stroke oil , which has the  about highest VI at 100deg C ( use it in all my saws now ), no smoke and smells like  srawberrys lol , took down a 24 inch dead pine and blocked it all up  runs sweet in the cut , had to adjust the idle and low setting  a bit as now and again it would stall out of a cut , took out the plug and is a tan colour  so good so far , have video of it but file is too big to upload  but  so far it runs  ok

A 346 bought as spares. Decent comp and after adjustment of coil decent spark. Won't run. Found the impulse line weren't pulsing. On further investigation one of the pot bolts was sheared and others were loose. Pretty filthy. Managed to get the sheared one out when pot was off. Gasket is knackered. Pot and piston look good.

Can I rebuild with no gasket just a bit of squidge?20180830_124849.jpeg20180830_124901.jpeg

Cleaned a Tillotson carb out for a TS400, blown through with carb cleaner and reassembled. It wouldn't run above tickover, metering valve adjusted and now it runs well just needs warming up and final adjustment ready for more abuse and neglect.

Don't it just, the filter was full of concrete. It was a mate doing some block paving on his drive, could you just have a look kind of thing not a regular (I hope)

Just had to change the oil pump on a ms190t. Ridiculously complicated. Stayed cover, flywheel, whole side case, brake handle, and both fuel and oil tanks to be removed first. Seems to be oiling better now. Hate those little ms170 style oil pumps too. All good now like.

190t anyone? Hardly used!

Mmm. Anyone messed on with a 190t? Just went to start it to check oil flow ( was fine) and the fecker would start. No fuel getting to spark plug. Good spark. Good gap. No wet plug. Runs when drop a dash on air filter. Throttle and choke linkage all good. Fuel line seems good, thought I could have nipped it when pulled the tank, but seems well. Hesitant to pull the carb as was working well before and haven't touched it.

Lol, really hate saws sometimes. Just when your thinking you've got the hang of fettling them.
