Yeah, i found that out when i bought one several months ago. As you say, shiny nasty plastic which doesn't fit properly. I thought that I had managed to get it on the cylinder, with much struggle, but must have crushed part of it in the process. Just had to fit a new P&P and a proper boot.

Can you sort the autotune carbs? If got a Husky topper that I could drop round.

probably, can take a look and see what gives! Been a while!

Widened & increased height 2mm & dropped 1mm. spare pot so I am experimenting a little

Just be aware that the piston skirt doesn't allow for much widening on the exhaust and the ring ends will cause issue on the inlet unless you take it easy!

If you did 2mm either side then Oooops, if it is 1mm either side then you should be OK!

If you free port then you will probably get a very sluggish pickup:thumbdown:

The things you end up fixing.....here is the Mini Moto bike that is owned by the son of one of my wifes bookkeeping clients. It wouldn't start well and suspected fuel issues. The motor looks to be a Maxtra long reach trimmer engine, the carb is a copy of a Walbro Wyk and after a few strips, adjusted the "hidden" needle screw, the H speed screw, sorted out the main diaphragm and spacer being the wrong way round and then found the high speed check valve was a bit blocked and once this was done, all was good:thumbup:

Also had this saw in with an interesting chain:confused1: The owner had noticed!
