Be careful doing that as the bearing cage is very close to the back of the crank seal.

And metal fillings aren't good in roller ball races:001_rolleyes: next time either use a puller or strike an awl through the metal case and lever it out.

I nave use the drill and screw method but it is usually a last attempt bid to get it out!

Ah right. Don't worry, I washed them out with soapy water. It'll be coming to you when the bearings fail then!

I will be out:sneaky2:..............TBH, the Jonnie 2085 of yours has been nice to work on, pretty clean and nice condition, just a few issues, some self inflicted but hope to finish it today!

Great, thanks spud. I only think it's fair to send stuff to be mended if it's clean.

I wish others cleaned their kit before sending it in:001_rolleyes:

If you'd got the 353 I enquired about, I would have given that a though clean before sending it off. Apart from not wishing someone else to clear a mess not of their making, all that crud costs postage.

I've got a cheap PRC topper on the bench that I'm converting to run on the Stihl 1/4" chain.

I've basically doubled the value of the saw by putting the Stihl guide bar, clutch and sprocket on it. All I have to do now is either get a longer chain or drill a new tensioner hole in the guide bar and the side cover can go on and give it a whirl
