Probably the metering arm is a bit high and is beig held open all the time making it flood!

Messed about with it tonight, cut my grass with it and when it was hot it wasn't right......image.jpg.0ef228a3a96265b83e2ff874e316f9c7.jpg

:blushing: I only looked in the inlet side when I got it, think the cause of the problem was a split it the cylinder gasket

Finally put my jonsered 2083 back together with a new stihl 066 meteor piston that had been modified. The cylinder cleaned up nice and didn't have any bits left over when I had finished so will try her out tomorow. I didn't did out the cause of the seize I'm hoping it was neat petrol. And I am too impatient to wait to get it pressure and vac tested so wish me luck

Next door brought a strimmer for me to look at last year and it wouldn't fire. I put some fuel down the plug and pulled it over and it ran but was clattering nicely till the added fuel ran out. I took the plastic off and pulled and the bolts were loose and the piston was lifting the pot up and down with it. I tightened them down and it fired straight away and ran nicely. This had been to a garden machinery centre to be looked at and they charged him £30 to tell him it was broken and had made no effort to fix it.
