What's on your bench today?

I was going to try cutting out the damaged bit of pipe and try to get a bit of fuel pipe to connect together?

guessing its a whole new clutch though?

It may work or purchase an aftermarket one and use the pipe off it, don't think you can purchase just the pipe. One of the issues with fitting a soft pipe is it amy collapse, the Stihl replacement pipes on older 066s came with a flexible spring that fits inside the pipe to stop this!

Good luck

Well we made it past the 400,000 views on this thread - just wondering if it is one of the most viewed threads ever?? Perhaps one of the Mods knows?

Thanks for the continued interest, I guess it has saved many a saw from being thrown in the bin in disgust for having the audacity to stop working:001_rolleyes::lol:

Hi guys had my ms200t at the shop for tune up and they said it was a little under compression and won't run unless throttle a little high so chain keeps turning was thinking is there anyway of fitting a aftermarket pot and piston with good quality and any brands would be helpful or if it the repair shop telling bul saw has full power and start OK and rev runs ect

Meteor is the most consistent aftermarket piston brand, although their cylinders seem less universally rated. Italian made.

I've used two Meteor pots (372 and 260 or 036 IIRC) and both have been very good. Any number of Meteor pistons, all of which have been great.

The only other cylinder name that seems to correlate with an actual 'brand' rather than just being a random name ('supersaws'/'lightening parts' etc) on a nameless Chinese part is 'Huztl' although that's Chinese too. They seem to be regarded as being reasonable.

Episan also good for pistons.

Cheaper pots on the whole are less likely to be sh*tty than cheaper pistons, at least compression-wise. Have rebuilt various saws with cheap pots and Meteor pistons, all of which have shown good compression. Cheap piston with cheap pots have never shown good compression when I've tried them.
