A mate dropped off a Dolmar 153 yesterday, been in a shed for years and was absolutely solid.

Chucked a load of wd40 down the pot last night and this morning have, with the careful use of wooden blocks and a 2 foot bar managed to get the pot off.

Looks like it has had a lean size, scoring on the outlet side.

So looking like a new piston, anyone got any ideas as to where I can find one?

You have a real problem - I keep deoderant and a shaver in my washroom:confused1:

It is an XPG - heated handles:thumbup:

I have a lock up out the back room for any saws that I collect on the way home. As if I need to collect them I just do it at the end of the day and instead of running back to workshop I put them locked away at home.

Had a look at the husky today. Carb is good, comp is pulling 160, so vac and pressure test tomoz, don't like the carb boot on these, bit of a loose way to have them IMO. Jubilee clip is much better.

It's just not firing up, if I put fuel down the carb it will fire but not run.

Meter arm is all good. And pipes are all good.

My 385xp cup cake arrived back today because Spud made a big effort to turn it round quickly.

It would have been with me last week but the courier was the weakest link.

Bravo Spud!

Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

Glad to hear it arrived OK, the other good bit of news is that if it goes again, I now have the 18mm inserts, taps and reamer so can do a follow if if necessary:thumbup:
